A food scanner that learns you — your conditions, your patterns, your body.
Named for my mom, Rae.
Pick anything that applies. We'll personalize every scan for you. This stays on your phone — nothing is sent anywhere.
A nickname for quick recognition on the profile switcher. You can add your own profile later.
This is what appears on any health-report PDF you share with a doctor or dietitian. Optional now — you can add or change it later in Settings.
Pick conditions, life stages, or eating patterns — whatever describes the reality you bring to food. Each one you tap shapes how a food gets graded for you specifically. White bread reads differently for celiac than for someone on Mediterranean — the grade respects the difference.
No condition? Tap Just eating healthier above and you're good.
Pick up to 5. These nudge the grade toward foods that support what you're after — heart health, lower inflammation, build muscle, support metabolic health, brain health. Your conditions above always outrank a goal if the two disagree.

Sends a readable list anyone can open in Mail, Messages, etc.
For a family member who'll shop for you. The PIN you set unlocks the list AND your conditions on their phone — so their scans grade for your body, not theirs. No one else can read it.
Moves this list to the Completed section. You can always reopen or reuse it later.

On iPhone — three taps:
Has to be Safari — Chrome and Firefox on iPhone can't install web apps.

Switch between people. Each has their own conditions, history, and triggers.
Conditions, life stages, eating patterns — anything that should shape how a food gets graded for this profile.
Tap all that apply — you can pick more than one. Tap again to remove.
What are you working toward, beyond any diagnosis? Goals are gentler than conditions — they nudge ingredients toward foods that support what you're after, but a condition always wins if the two disagree.
Pick up to 5 — these don't replace your conditions, they just sharpen the picture. Tap to add or remove.
Pick any eating pattern you actively follow. We use these to tag scans and personalize alternatives.

Elimination + reintroduction. Auto-flags AIP-forbidden ingredients while in elimination phase.
Plenty of people like to jot down their blood pressure or weight alongside how they felt that day. It's optional — flip these on and the fields show up on your daily diary.
We hold the journal — we never tell you what the numbers mean. Bring them to the person who can: your doctor.
Generate a clinical-style PDF with your symptom history, scan summary, and identified triggers — bring it to your next doctor visit.

Auto follows your phone's day/night setting. Or lock it to Light or Dark.
Pick the color that feels like you.
When you scan a barcode, show a small "Per 100g" strip below the grade with sodium, protein, sugar, and saturated fat — pulled from the product label. We never count, total, or judge these numbers — just surface what's on the package. Off if you'd rather not see them.
On the Day Overview screen, show a short read of why your day looked the way it did and 2-3 alternative choices you could try for similar days. Off if you'd rather just see the grades and lists without the narrative.

Snap a menu, get personalized picks. Add-on to Velrae Method.
We link your code to this email so we can help if you change phones or hit a snag — and so you get a reply if you reach out. We won't email you otherwise.
One-time purchase. No subscription. These are yours forever, on this device and up to 2 more.
Every food gets a number from 0 to 100 and a letter grade A–F. The grade is personalized to your conditions — same food can grade differently for different people.
Why two people get different grades: White bread might grade C for IBS but F for celiac. The grade respects your specific conditions.
Why some ingredients show as "couldn't recognize": they weren't in our database — they didn't help or hurt the grade. We add more every update.
Why the colors never change with themes: picking a different look changes the menus, not the grade colors. Green always means "good for you."
Shampoo, lotion, sunscreen, and makeup get a Skin Score from 0 to 10 — a purple square instead of the food circle, so you always know which kind of scan you're looking at. Higher is better for your skin, weighed against your conditions.
Same idea as food: every ingredient is tappable for what it is and why it's flagged, and anything we don't recognize is researched on the spot and folded into your score.
Velrae Method is a privacy-first food scanner built for people living with autoimmune and chronic conditions. Every score runs on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere — except the optional OpenFoodFacts lookup when you scan a UPC barcode.
Named for my mom, Rae — who deserves a food scanner that actually knows her.
